There is no link to give yet, and no launch date to promise. When TabVault is playable it will appear here with a working link — there is deliberately no waiting list standing in for a product.

Closing a tab usually means losing your place in it. You come back to a long article and have to hunt for the paragraph you were on; you reopen a two-hour tutorial and have to drag the scrubber around looking for the right minute. So the tab stays open instead, and then thirty of them do, and the browser slows to a crawl.

TabVault saves the tab and the place you were in it. It records the exact scroll position of a page and the exact timestamp of a YouTube video, so reopening a saved tab puts you back where you stopped rather than back at the top. Closing a tab stops costing you anything, which means you can actually close them.

Saved tabs go into categories you name yourself — Study, Work, whatever the shape of your day is — and a whole category reopens in one click.

It works without an account, because it does not need one. Everything TabVault saves stays in your browser on your device. There is no sign-up, no sync server, and no copy of your tab list held anywhere else.

Who it is for

Anyone who keeps too many tabs open: students working through research, people partway into a long video or tutorial, and anyone whose browser is running out of memory but who does not want to lose their place.

What it can see

Stated plainly, because “stored locally” is the whole point of this one and a vague answer would undercut it. The privacy policy covers what this website collects, which is a separate question from what the extension collects.
